Tours of Ireland

Belfast Tours

Belfast City Hall

The most popular tours of Belfast are the political tours of the conflict areas and murals that have been erected to highlight the suffering on both sides of the once divided community. Also available are tours of landmarks including: Thompson Dock (Harland & Wolff) where the Titanic was built, St Annes Cathedral, Queens University Belfast, Stormont and Belfast Castle to name but a few.

Antrim Coast Tours

Giants Causeway

Many visitors to Belfast avail themselves of the opportunity to visit the spectacular North Antrim Coast which is just 1 hour from Belfast along the beautiful Antrim Coast Road.

This area is home to some World Class Tourist Attractions including:-

  • The Giants Causeway
  • Dunluce Castle
  • The Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge
  • Bushmills Distilley

GIANTS CAUSEWAY - This is the most popular tourist attraction in Ireland for obvious reasons. Created over 60 million years ago after intense volcanic activity, the GIANTS CAUSEWAY has been shrouded in myths and legend from pre-history. Designated as a World Heritage Site, you can enjoy spectacular views of the North Antrim Coast and Scotland on a clear day. The Giants Causeway is an unmissable attraction when visiting our island.

CARRICK-A-REDE ROPE BRIDGE - Spanning a chasm 80 feet deep, this seasonal bridge is used mainly by local salmon fishermen to reach their nets on a small island just off-shore. The bridge is now a popular tourist attraction, with the brave visitors crossing the bridge leaving the not so brave behind... The trail to the bridge gives unbelievable views of the Antrim Coast along with Sheep Island, Rathlin Island and also Scotland.

BUSHMILLS WHISKEY DISTILLERY - You can also visit the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world in the small village of Bushmills. Here you can ramble throughout the distillery and take one of the excellent guided tours. See how the whiskey is made from local water and learn how it became known as 'The Water of Life'. No visit would be complete without the obligatory tasting session after the tour and of course you can browse the Gift Shop for souvenirs or a little something for yourself.

DUNLUCE CASTLE - Dunluce Castle is mentioned in historical records from the 14th Century as the home of Richard De Burgh. It is home to the Wishing Well and Mermaids Cove and sits dramatically perched above a massive sea cliff. There are fantastic views of the Northern part of Ireland (as far as Donegal) and the Antrim and Derry Coast from this vantage point. A beautiful Irish Castle which will enthral all who visit.
